    Our Organization

    The Urantia Book Fellowship is a membership and service organization dedicated to learning, sharing, and living the teachings of The Urantia Book. It is a welcome and inclusive home for all those seeking to enhance their personal spiritual journey.

    A Brief History

    For more than 70 years we have consistently created opportunities for Urantia Book readers to come together around loving service, in-depth study, and joyful socialization.

    Beginning in 1939 as The Forum (the first 70 people to study the Urantia Papers), the community officially became the Urantia Brotherhood upon publication of the book in 1955, and in 1989 became The Urantia Book Fellowship. Since our inception, we have dedicated our efforts to sharing the revelation and all who serve it. 

    Structure

    The Urantia Book Fellowship thrives through vibrant local study groups and autonomous Urantia Societies around the world. These groups provide opportunities for fellowship, worship, education, and meaningful connection.  Thousands of lifelong friendships have started in these groups.

    Regional Urantia Societies are completely autonomous component organizations of The Urantia Book Fellowship and consist of readers interested in fostering the spread of The Urantia Book in their particular geographic regions.  They provide opportunities for service, socialization, and study for Urantia Book students in their area.

    Our Societies elect our board by each sending a delegate to our Triennial Delegate Assembly, who then deliberate and vote on the best qualified candidates to lead the organization forward.

    Managed by an all-volunteer General Council of 36 elected representatives, we believe service is a privilege.

    And when the world sees these fruit-bearing branches—my friends who love one another, even as I have loved them—all men will know that you are truly my disciples. (180:2.1)

    How We Serve

    Our goal is the spiritual uplift of humankind by effectively sharing the Urantia revelation, and by creating an exemplary community where all who are seeking can spiritually thrive.
