The Value of Community

Regional Urantia Societies are the heartbeat of The Urantia Book Fellowship, where readers gather locally to foster the spread of The Urantia Book, build lifelong friendships, and create meaningful service projects in their communities. Each Society is a hub of study, service, and socialization—open to all who wish to explore the teachings of The Urantia Book more deeply and locally.

Fellowship & Support: Members enjoy the camaraderie of kindred spirits, enriching their journeys and their communities through collective action, discussion, and shared vision.
Participation & Teamwork: Every Society elects and sends one representative and one alternate to serve as Delegates in electing our leaders.

Each Society shapes its unique purpose. Whether your members are passionate about outreach, translation, environmental initiatives, hospice, or public speaking, the Fellowship offers tools and free resources to help you create a compelling vision and mission that unifies and energizes your group.

Become a Part of Something Larger

Societies provides an opportunity to have influence beyond the local area through participation in a democratically run organization dedicated to the dissemination of The Urantia Book and its teachings. The Urantia Book does not say that we need an organization such as the Fellowship, or that we need a great proliferation of local societies.

But the book does tell us a great deal about organizational patterns, from planetary, to system, to local universe, to superuniverse, and even to grand universe levels. It tells us about the value in our perceiving ourselves as cosmic citizens and in our recognizing our place in the grand organizational scheme. It tells us about the incredible potential that each of us–without a single exception in all of humanity—has for making a contribution to the growth of the Supreme, the evolving deity. It also tells us that, while the Universal Father relates to each of us as an individual, the Supreme relates to all of us as a group. Conversely, only as a group can we relate effectively to the Supreme, and there is no effective group activity of any kind without organization.
